Overview

Nick has a broad practice focussing on industrial, personal injury and criminal law.

Nick is regularly briefed to appear for the State of NSW and corporate defendants in regulatory prosecutions and related matters. He has appeared for SafeWork NSW, the NSW Resources Regulator, the Ministry of Health and NSW Fair Trading in a variety of matters across NSW courts and tribunals.

Since 2020 Nick has been recommended by Doyles Guide as a leading Work Health & Safety junior counsel in NSW.

Nick has appeared in a range of employment matters relating to contractual entitlements, statutory remedies under the Fair Work Act 2009 and restraint of trade. He also accepts briefs in common law personal injury and work injury damages claims.

From 2017 to 2022 Nick served as a sessional Member of the Workers Compensation Division of the Personal Injury Commission.

Prior to being called to the bar in 2013, Nick was a Senior Associate in the Workplace Relations Team at Holman Webb Lawyers. He has previously been an employed solicitor with Moray & Agnew Lawyers and WorkCover NSW (now SafeWork NSW). From 2010 to 2013 Nick worked for the government legal service in London litigating high value organised tax fraud matters (Carousel/Missing Trader Intra-Community fraud).

In 2003 Nick graduated from the Australian National University with a combined Bachelor of Arts/Laws.

Nick is the Honorary Lawyer for Easts Cricket Club.

Nick is a member of the Commonwealth DPP External Junior Counsel Panel and the Legal Aid General Criminal Law panel.
